Site Engineer – Monitoring Department

Location: Near Banbury
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance/Vehicle + Accommodation if Working Away

A brilliant long-term opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join a highly regarded civil engineering consultancy on a flagship infrastructure project near Banbury. This is part of the HS2 development and includes significant earthworks, tunnelling, structures, and highways—offering guaranteed work well into the next decade.

The Role

As a Site Engineer within the Monitoring Department, your role will focus on delivering precision survey and monitoring work across the HS2 route near Buckingham. You will play a key part in the installation and oversight of critical monitoring systems and support the engineering team with a range of survey and setting out tasks.

• Delivering detailed monitoring and survey works
• Supporting installation of survey control
• Performing digital precise surveys
• Occasional setting out and producing as-built documentation

Requirements

• CSCS Card (valid)
• Previous experience in site or setting out engineering (minimum 2 years)
• Solid background in heavy civils
• Proficient with modern survey equipment
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Package

• £45,000 – £55,000 (experience dependent)
• Car or car allowance
• Accommodation provided when working away
• Long-term project stability on HS2
